This Privacy Policy describes how Panel Ready LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the Panel Ready website, application, and related services (the “Service”), and the choices and rights you have. It applies to visitors to and users of the Service in the United States. Please read it together with our Terms of Service; capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, do not use the Service. This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services that we do not own or control.
Information We Collect
Information you provide:
Account information: your name, email address, password, and account settings.
Interview responses: your typed answers to practice questions and, where you use voice features, audio recordings of your spoken answers and the transcripts we generate from them.
Uploaded materials: files you choose to upload, such as your resume, which may contain your employment history, education, certifications, and contact details.
Preparation details: the target department, role, and location, and other information you enter to tailor your practice.
Communications: information you provide when you contact support, give feedback, or respond to surveys.
Payment information: your subscription and billing details, processed by our third-party payment processor. We receive limited transaction information (such as a confirmation and the last four digits of your card) but do not store full payment card numbers.
Information collected automatically:
Usage data: interviews and questions completed, scores, feedback, progress, and other activity within the Service.
Device and technical data: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, identifiers, and approximate location inferred from IP address, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies and similar technologies: as described in the Cookies and Tracking Technologies section below.
Information from other sources:
We may receive information from service providers that help us operate the Service, such as our payment processor, analytics providers, and security providers.
Sensitive information. Some information you choose to provide — such as your resume or the content of your interview answers and voice recordings — may reveal information that is treated as “sensitive” under some laws. We use this information only to provide the Service. Please do not submit information you do not want us to process.
How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to: create and manage your account; provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service; generate your practice interviews, questions, scores, feedback, and progress tracking; transcribe and analyze your responses (including voice recordings) to produce feedback; save your history so you can review it; process subscriptions, payments, and receipts; respond to your requests and communicate with you about your account, security, and the Service; personalize and improve the Service; detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Artificial-intelligence processing. We use third-party AI providers to generate questions, transcribe voice recordings, score responses, and produce feedback; they process your information to provide these features to you. We use voice recordings only to transcribe and analyze your spoken answers and generate feedback, and not to identify you. We may use de-identified or aggregated information, which does not identify you, to maintain and improve the Service.
Marketing. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before sending marketing communications, and you can opt out of them at any time.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We disclose personal information in the following ways:
Service providers: vendors that perform services on our behalf — such as cloud hosting and storage, payment processing, transcription, analytics, customer support, and AI processing — under contracts that limit their use of the information to providing services to us.
Legal and safety: when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or others, and to enforce our agreements.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share information or otherwise consent to the sharing.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California and other state privacy laws.
Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
The Service uses automated systems, including AI models, to generate practice questions and to score and provide feedback on your responses. This processing is used only to help you prepare and practice. We do not use these automated systems to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and the Service does not make real hiring, employment, or eligibility decisions. Where applicable law gives you rights regarding profiling or automated decision-making, you may exercise them as described in the Your Privacy Rights section.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is processed. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described in the Your Privacy Rights and Contact sections; some information may be retained where permitted or required by law.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and on applicable law, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
Access / know: to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and to obtain a copy of it.
Correct: to correct inaccurate personal information.
Delete: to request deletion of your personal information.
Portability: to obtain a portable copy of certain information you provided.
Opt out: to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling.
Limit sensitive information: to limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
Non-discrimination: to not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
How to exercise your rights. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at support@panelready.ai or by using the controls in your account (for example, to review, update, or delete your information). We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, and you may use an authorized agent where the law permits.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by contacting us at support@panelready.ai. Where required, we will inform you of the outcome and of your right to contact your state attorney general.
Additional Disclosures for California Residents
This section provides additional information for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the “CCPA”). In the preceding twelve months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
Identifiers, such as your name, email address, and IP address.
California customer-records information, such as account and payment-related information.
Commercial information, such as your subscription and transaction history.
Internet or other electronic network activity, such as usage data and interactions with the Service.
Audio or electronic information, such as voice recordings of your practice answers and their transcripts.
Professional or employment-related information, such as details contained in a resume you upload.
Inferences we draw to generate your scores, feedback, and progress tracking.
Sensitive personal information, to the extent your uploads or answers contain it.
Sources and purposes. We collect this information from you, from your use of the Service, and from our service providers, and we use and disclose it for the business purposes described in the How We Use Your Information and How We Share Your Information sections.
Sensitive personal information. To the extent we collect sensitive personal information, we use it only to provide the Service and for other purposes permitted by the CCPA, and not to infer characteristics about you. You may request that we limit the use of your sensitive personal information.
No sale or sharing. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months, including with respect to any consumer we know to be under 16 years of age.
Your California rights. California residents have the rights to know, access, correct, delete, and (where applicable) limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise them, see the Your Privacy Rights section.
Shine the Light. California’s “Shine the Light” law permits California residents to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.
Additional Disclosures for Other U.S. State Residents
If you reside in a U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law — such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and a growing number of others — you may have rights to confirm whether we process your personal data and to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. Where required, we recognize universal opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and specifically not from children under 13 as defined by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will delete it. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information appropriate to its sensitivity. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. Personal information is processed and stored in the United States.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the Service, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, through any cookie-preference tool we provide; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works. Where required by law, we will provide a cookie banner or consent mechanism and honor applicable opt-out preference signals.
Your Choices
You have choices about your information. You can opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us (we may still send you service and account messages). You can control cookies through your browser settings and any preference tool we provide. Where required, we honor browser-based opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control. And you can review, update, or delete certain information through your account settings.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may link to, or rely on, third-party websites and services that we do not control, such as our payment processor. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
Users Outside the United States
The Service is intended for users in the United States, and we process and store personal information in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your location.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice as required by law (for example, by email or an in-app notice). Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect indicates your acknowledgment of the updated Policy.
